Teacher Appreciation serving boards

Teacher Appreciation Week rolling straight into Mother's Day weekend feels pretty accurate, honestly. Both jobs require patience, creativity, negotiation skills, snack management, and the ability to function in absolute chaos.

This year, I made custom-engraved dual-sided serving boards, tea towels, and gift sets for the kids' "main" teachers and their favorite nurse, because I wanted the gifts to feel personal, useful, and a little funny, rather than giving the least-wanted gift (a mug).

My favorite part happened last night, though. My sweet husband and kids went to the store and bought everything I put on my boards (minus the macaroons because our local grocery chain is boring). They created a "sweet indulgences" night, alongside the other charcuterie board. Seeing something I made turn into an actual family moment was way more rewarding than just making the product itself.

That is probably my favorite part of creating things. I love making pieces that become experiences, memories, traditions, or inside jokes people actually use together.
