Teacher Appreciation planters

Teacher Appreciation is not another mug. It is something they can actually use. Who does not love herbs?

I am not a painter. I still sat down with Dollar Tree silver cans, wooden crates that were about ten dollars each for the main teachers, and I hand-painted flowers, little designs, and their names or initials on every one. Then we stuffed them with herbs and succulents so the gift could keep going after the last day of school.

My son helped put the plants in. That is the part I love looking at. He thought we were just playing in dirt. We were saying thank you to the people who held his year.

The teachers were pleasantly surprised. I was too, right up until I loaded the whole parade into the car with no plastic down. Mulch and dirt all over the backseat. Next time I know.
